The match... was a failure. -bows head in shame- I'm so sorry for all the hiccups and lack of coordination in the planning, not to mention the miscommunication. Then came the rain. Sighs, series of unfortunate events...
Anyway, hopefully any future endeavours would not end so tragically. By the way, I'm blogging because I'm incredibly bored. I'm holed up in my room now because my dear brother decided to bring his friends home without giving me prior warning. Che. I'm going to kill him later. My to-do list never seems to get any shorter. Oh well, at least life will never be boring (ironic since i just declared my extreme level of boredness a few sentences earlier).
Well, I shall start studying for promos playing now. See ya all soon!
Sarah. PS. Once again, gomen, minna-san. Honto ni gomen. (see who can translate this. LOL)

we soccer people like to prove our versatililty and holistic development we do. so here we presents the extra-curricular activities of our co-curricular activities.:D
Firstly: Table-tennis (Monday, 250808)
well this is when everyone just completely fails...
but they get it in the end. kinda. then SOME people just get retarded...-_-
well all the lovely things you see up there are the result of the retarded ingenuity of our welfare rep, added with the people spastic enough to actually go along with it. haha but awesome fun we have.:D my cheeks started cramping from laughing too much at one point in time... of course we did play proper table tennis, but who takes videos of the normal stuff? whee.
right so this is uh: "interact stuff" (Monday, 180808)
yeh. the infamous brainchild of sala. the assembly line. ok the video quality kinda sucks much but eh. just watch the hands. it's quite fascinating..:D haha.
there's more stuff of course. photos and videos. but gawd they're a bitch to upload. so eh. this shall be all you get from this lazyass [selectively] luddite QM. lollol.:D
oh yeah by the way, for the people who don't know, the game against the NY staff this friday is cancelled due to the teachers going to. eat lunch. or something. and needing to change or shower and get to the place. or something. in any case. awwww.):
yeh. so. peace people. one more week of school. then four more weeks to promos! HOORAY....

2) next fri, there will be a hc girls soccer VS nanyang female teachers soccer match in nanyang after tchers' day celeb, so ppl try to free urself ;D for those not from nanyang, u can go to ur sec sch aft the match? try la ;D

and now my internet decides to LAGGG on me. crud. screw it i'm too lazy. if you're lucky i'll feel bothered enough to give uploading all this crap another shot. but if anyone is really that desperate for the photos then just email me. or sms me. or tell me. depending on how fast you want the response time to be. haha.:D oh i also have a video of our dear dancing QY [plus lynette's obvious raucous laughter in the background. haha.] pictures of today's[yesterday's] assembly line will probably come up some other time too i guess. [i bet this is another one of the curses of the norfolk!!] yep. so for now this is your lazyass techno noob QM signing out.
1:33 AM
finefinefine so here's my post for the month. i know you all have been waiting ever so eagerly for it. haha.:) though i'm just gonna spam photos and videos. but oh well. that's better than anything i've gotta say eh? whee... ok so in chronological order..
here we see sylvia and liting [y'all remember her i'm sure] reverting back to their basic primal grooming instincts. sala tries to defend herself against the camera... ...but fails terribly. note the complete unawareness. [you really MUST zoom into her face :)]
right so because i'm a techno noob and blogger is being FLOODY uncooperative, the national day pictures shall be in another post. grah. sucks to blogger.

Hey ;D Glad to see me again? Sorry, this time, the intrepid reporter has no photos to offer, however here's the link to the video of yours truely national day concert performance:
anyway, i m addicted to watching it ;D haha. but if u ppl feel stress n in need of a good laugh, (n i dont happen to be there to dazzle you with my wit and brilliance), go visit the link n have a good laugh.
anyway some updates:
as sala mentioned, the soccer camp is confirmed, from 11th to 13th Dec, in HCI. the itinerary will be vetted, editted and approved soon. some activities include matches, soccer related games, fun drills and telematch (all mentioned are subject to changes and approval). however, the soccer camp is guaranteed to be fun, exciting and a time to rmb ;D it will also be the last official "training" event with the j2s. SO BE THERE OR BE SQUARE (or rather flat, as u will be after lynette is done with u ;D) please confirm your attendance for the camp asap, to sala. Most have done so except for a few ppl... (*frowns*) dont make me hunt u down, or u will get a taste of being sat on by an elephant in the middle of the central plaza. (Note: Said elephant is not only me, but may be our dear vicecap, cap n me combined ;D haha) oh n please pay $15 to kai hui asap too for the topping up of soccer fund.
in case u do not know, soccer may be setting up a booth during MAF to raise funds(if items are approved by the school). Details on booth and items will be made known later ;D
n open house. those interested to be tourguides, please look for sala. we need about 3-4 ;D n take note that everyone will most likely have to take part in open house, unless there's a very good reason. (woo! sounds threatening ;D)
oh, n there will be a soccer video for open house. so all actress-wannabes, can look for me or sala. script has not been confirmed yet, but it's sure to be interesting coz i will be one of the scripwriters ;D haha, the other is sala. though we have lynette as the regulatory body... details of plot will be released once confirmed. ;D oh, n most likely everyone will get to be in the video, though maybe as calafares ;D haha, oh anyone will interesting ideas, feel free to approach us ;D
NOTE: CAS POINTS ARE GIVEN ON THE BASIS OF MERIT TO FELLOW TEAMMATES...THOSE WHO KEEP HINTING FOR IT WILL FACE POSSIBLE "MISCALCULATION" OF POINTS LEADING TO A DEDUCTION. SO STOP BUGGING ME FOR IT! GRRHHH!
oh n sala, what's that wide space in ur last post for? for ppl to stare at it and meditate isit? sigh...the ultimate IT noob ;D haha...
oh n exco members who havent posted this month yet, pls do so...not u will face possible writer's block nearer the deadline ;D (health tip from ur caring welfare rep ;D)

Hey everyone!
Okay, first there's a few official announcements to make:
Unofficial PT on Monday (25th Aug): We'll be playing ping pong! Interested ppl please notify either lynette or me (sarah).
Soccer Study Session (SSS): We'll be having a study session on Thursday (21st Aug). The venue is fixed at the canteen and it will take place immediately after school, or whenever you want to turn up. You can just crash, but it'll be properly polite to notify lynette if you plan on coming. But who cares about politeness anyways:).
Now that all the official mumbo-jumbo is out of the way, time for the fun stuff!
Today, we had unofficial PT and we went to play SQUASH! Well, that was the plan anyway. But after an 'incident' involving hannah, shao and lights, we decided that squash really wasn't our thing. Thus, we turned to our more charitable side and assissted vic-ki in her tedious and horrifying admin work of sorting out the LUCE program booklets. After an hour's of hard work while we all bumbled along and tried to sort out as many booklets as we could, I came up with the brilliant -if i may say so myself- idea to make an assembly line! Each person was in charge of 1-2 pages of the booklet, and (as expected of any great idea of mine) it was a great success! Our productibility and efficiency rates tripled and we all had great fun to boot! It was a great team bonding experience, and we all proved that we're like one big family, willing to aid anyone amongst us in their times of trouble (can you believe vic-ki actually had to sort out 600 booklets all by herself?!). We took a little break in-between our sorting and celebrated with ice cream (vic-ki's treat to show her gratitude)! Unfortunately, I was unable to take any shots of the assembly line, my hands were too busy receiving and passing pages of the booklet. But I did take many shots of the ice cream fest! Here they are:
Notice how Lynette appears so many times in the pictures? Well it seems our dear captain has the magical ability to appear by the ice cream tubs, spoon in hand and greedy glint in eyes. LOL. Kaihui (who appears the same number of times) went about it in a smarter way. She sat down with the tub and let the others come when they wanted a bite. Well, of course, being the smartest of them all, I simply stole the tub and ran away! Whee!
Well that's all for today, folks! See you all soon! P.S. QY, this is my 3rd post this month. I believe some CAS point addition is in order. -grin-

Finally! The EPL 08/09 season starts tonight, kicking off with an Arsenal match! :D Seriously, it's time to get Football Channel if you don't already have it. So below are the fixtures and timings for this weekend, with the fun matches to watch in red.
Saturday, August 16, 2008 Arsenal vs West Bromwich Albion - 1945 Bolton vs Stoke City - 2155 Everton vs Blackburn - 2155 Hull City vs Fulham - 2155 Middlesbrough vs Tottenham - 2155 West Ham vs Wigan - 2155 Sunderland vs Liverpool - 0030
Sunday, August 17, 2008 Chelsea vs Portsmouth - 2025 Aston Villa vs Manchester City - 2155 Manchester United vs Newcastle United - 2255
Ok yeah, so most of them are fun to watch. But don't always have to watch Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U and Chelsea. (Well, actually, have to always watch Arsenal. Heh.) Plenty of stuff to learn when the 2 teams are more closely matched (see Middlesbrough vs Tottenham), especially how they tackle each other and break everyone's legs. Enjoy!

Hey! Soccer camp has been confirmed! Well, actually it has been confirmed a long time ago, but who cares about the details?
So anyway, here are the details (LOL. Irony! OMG. And i'm not even a lit student):
Date: 11th - 13th December 2008 Venue: Hwa Chong Junior College Time: 0900 - 1700 hrs (officially, at least. You can leave at 5, or you can stay back and have dinner together or something. To be confirmed) Itineary: SURPRISE!!! :)
That's about it, i guess. Oh yeah, due to popular vote, we're not having a chalet (most ppl want the chalet and camp combined). So this camp would incorporate what we would have originally planned for the chalet, minus the sleeping over. Unless anyone has suggestions on where to sleep (it's technically not allowed to stay over at school)... So see you all there!
PS. We will have training during the 3 days for approximately 1 and a 1/2 hours (9-1030am). But it will be FUN training so don't worry. Just know that you have to bring your boots and shin gaurds (well technically as long as you don't get caught by lynette you don't need shin gaurds). Oh and please bring at least one extra set of clothes everyday. We'll post a WHAT TO BRING LIST when the itineary is confirmed, so stay tuned to hc soccer blog!
Ja! Sarah Ng.

09 August, 2008
The 9th of August.
It is a very significant day.
A day that went down in history.
A day that is important to all Singaporeans.
The day...
That I tried my hand at reporting!
Ok. So technically, all the pictures were taken yesterday during the celebrations, but who cares about the details? Anyway, our usual illustrious reporter (QY) had taken the day off to go dancing -a new career option perhaps- so I decided to take up the mantle.
It all started when HCJC had their 2008 national day celebrations. First, hc soccer members everywhere started piling into the hall. This reporter risked tooth and nail to document their historic appearances.
You can see Dong Lu, Kai Hui and Li Rui (from right to left) attempting to avoid my powerful lens. Hannah tried valiantly as well, but alas, noone can prevent the inevitable.
This reporter even had to face competition in the form of other paparazzi (yes, that is shao with the camera).
Soon though, everyone started to become caught up in the spirit of celebration. (Sorry Kai Hui, I don't know how to rotate your picture...) And there you see Wang Huan stealing the limited edition flags from everyone. As well as other previously respectable members of society (well at least i think they are) doing retarded things...
Thankfully, there is still hope yet for the hc soccer team as some members have managed to -admirably- cling onto their sanity. Below you see Yvonne, Juat (who needs to be rotated) and Tian Ruo, 3 saints with the patience of Mt. Everest determinedly putting up with the chaos around them.
Of course, let's not forget our dear welfare rep and on-leave reporter: Qiao Yue! There she is, dancing her heart out. Err it's a little pixelated but that's her. The second girl in red from the right...
Well, all in all, it was a day of fun, laughter and games. Loss of sanity aside, everyone had a good time. Sadly though, it is now time for this interesting and informative article to end...
So that's all for today folks. This is sarah ng, signing off. Jiayou for promos/A-levels everyone!

This is an email from Coach that I'm supposed to SHARE with the team. QY, please add Care And Share points. :)
A simple man tells how his booking an air ticket for his father, hisfirst flight, brought emotions and made him realize that how much weall take for granted when it comes to our parents. My parents left for our native place on Thursday and we went to theairport to see them off. In fact, my father had never traveled by airbefore, so I just took this opportunity to make him experience the same.In spite of being asked to book tickets by train, I got them tickets onlufthansa. The moment I handed over the tickets to him, he was surprised to seethat I had booked them by air. The excitement was very apparent on hisface, waiting for the time of travel. Just like a school boy, he waspreparing himself on that day and we all went to the airport, rightfrom using the trolley for his luggage, the baggage check-in and askingfor window seat and waiting restlessly for the security check-in tohappen. He was thoroughly enjoying himself and I, too, was overcome withjoywatching him experience all these things. As they were about to go in for the security check-in, he walked up tome with tears in his eyes and thanked me. He became very emotional andit was not as if I had done something great but the fact that this meanta great deal to him. When he said thanks, I told him there was no need to thank me.But later, thinking about the entire incident, I looked back at my life.As a child how many dreams our parents have made come true. Withoutunderstanding the financial situation, we ask for football, dresses, toys, outings, etc. Irrespective of their affordability ,they havesatisfied to all our needs. Did we ever think about the sacrifices theyhad to make to accommodate many of our wishes?Did we ever say thanks for all that they have done for us?Same way, today when it comes to our children, we always think that weshould put them in a good school. Regardless of the amount of donation,we will ensure that we will have to give the child the best, themeparks, toys, etc. But we tend to forget that our parents have sacrificeda lot for our sake to see us happy, so it is our responsibility toensure that their dreams are realized and what they failed to see whenthey were young, it is our responsibility to ensure that theyexperience all those and their life is complete. Many times, when my parents had asked me some questions, I haveactually answered back without patience. When my daughter asks mesomething, I have been very polite in answering. Now I realize how theywould have felt at those moments.Let us realize that old age is a second childhood and just as we takecare of our children, the same attention and same care need to be givento our parents and elders.Rather than my dad saying thank you to me, I would want to say sorryfor making him wait so long for this small dream. I do realize how muchhe has sacrificed for my sake and I will do my best to give the bestpossible attention to all their wishes. Just because they are old doesnot mean that they will have to give up everything and keep sacrificingfor their grandchildren also. They have wishes, too.Take care of our parents.

Yay! I've got my blog post for the month! So today was Seniors vs Juniors Day at the high school field. First time playing there. The pitch seemed quite small. So there were 10 seniors and 11 juniors. That's like a 77.78% turnout rate. Not bad... Seeing as how we have 3 goalies, Li Rui played for the seniors in the first 20-minute game then Hannah played for them in the next 2 20-minute game. Scores were 3-0, 0-0 and 1-1, but that's just for formality's sake. We didn't change our formation much, save for the last game where Deb joined our team. So basically, the defence was made up of Sylvia on the right, Shao on the left and Juat and I in the centre. Was it just me, or does Sylvia seem like she could be our Yue Yang for next year? Frankly, that sounds quite plausible and pretty damn freaking awesome. Whee! Yes, and thanks to Juat who covered my ass a lot and can run as fast as Yi Jing, OMG!!! The midfield battle was not that gory, but still fun to watch, with Sala and Dong Lu in the centre against Shoes and Charis, and then QY and Kai on the right and left wings respectively, going up against Tian Ruo and Cheryl. So cool to watch them all dribble and run. And run. And run. Yes yes, I'm a slacker... :( I think I've neglected to say that VIC-KI SCORED A HAT-TRICK playing as the lone striker, and scoring 3, the last of which got us all laughing as people piled up on top of each other as the ball slowly trickled into the net. Heh. The seniors' goal came courtesy of Xian! :D
Seeing all the seniors on the pitch together definitely brings back memories on this year's season, except that it was a bit weird playing against them instead of with them. Yes, I had to remind myself to not be nice and tackle Shoes when she got the ball instead of asking her to pass back to me. For me, the strangest part was trying to dribble past Wan Qin who's usually next to me in defence. But well, all in all, it was quite fun, and nice to see most of the seniors taking time off their busy MUGGING schedules to play with us. I refrain from using the word 'against' because we'll still part of the same team. Corny perhaps, but absolutely true. So thank you to all who turned up today, especially any seniors who read this. As for us juniors, our first match together. All I can say is that it's going to be an interesting next 10 months. We can only get better from here, right? :)
